Episode 78: James Belt – Hope Realized

For the second of our three-part series, we are learning from James Belt, author of “Hope Realized”.   Drawing on his insights and involvement with NICA-Works, a non-profit organization based out of Nicaragua, James believes a world free of poverty is possible – when we reimagine the powerful force of hope and what it can do.

Poverty isn’t just a lack of resources.  Often, even after resources are available, poverty lingers.  Why is that?

In this interview James unpacks the power of hopelessness, the ways in which it can hold people captive and prevent them from moving forward.  Sharing some of the real-life stories, and transformational steps people have taken to re-author their life and circumstances, this conversation is sure to inspire.

James invites us to challenge pre-conceived ideas and put a face to poverty.  After all, there is no us and them!  We can all become “hope-bringers”
