Episode 08: Dr. Erica Harris

Dr. Erica Harris shares how Leukemia took her on a significant detour from the highway in life she had been on, and how a terminal illness propelled her on to the path she was supposed to be on.  Prior to 2012 Dr. Harris was happily married with two little boys, with a successful career as a Chiropractor and Kinesiologist.

Receiving the results of routine lab work Dr. Harris was blindsided when she learned she had a very aggressive version of acute myeloid leukemia. Within two months of her diagnoses, Dr. Harris was told she had two-month terminal prognoses and denied all further medical treatment aside from palliative care.

Dr. Harris will tell you she is a well versed and highly seasoned survivor. As the Founder of Risetoday.com she serves as a TedX international speaker, a motivational coach, #1 Best Selling Author and Host of the Rise Today Inspirational podcast.

Dr. Erica believes in opening up the conversation about hardship, equipping others with the tools to stay the course, and to thrive like never before.
